        Q.1 Where is the CRSU Library located?

The Library is at the first floor of Teaching Block-1. It can be reached by an easy walk from all the Hostels/Residences and teaching blocks.

        Q.2 Who can use the CRSU Library?

Students, Research Scholars, Faculties and Staffs of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind are welcome to use the Library. Academic staff, postgraduate and research students from other universities/Institutions can use the Library for reference with valid Identity card and a Reference letter from his/her guide and prior approval of the University Librarian/Incharge Library.

        Q.3 How can I access Digital Portal of Central Library, CRSU, Jind?

Answer: The users can access digital portal of Central Library by visiting CRSU main website i.e.http://crsu.ac.in or can be access directly through http://112.133.194.135/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl

        Q.4 What is Web-OPAC?

Answer: OPAC stands for online Public Access Catalogue and through web-OPAC users can access online catalogue of reading materials available in Central Library, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind (Haryana) at any time 24*7.
The library users can also access their transactions history, online reservation of required books.

        Q.5 How do I contact the Library?

Answer: The library users can contact through email and telephonically.The details of email address and telephone number is available in contact us module at Library portal. Users can raise any query for help etc.

        Q.6 Can I access full text PhD thesis awarded by Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind (Haryana)?

Yes, full text PhD thesis awarded by Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind (Haryana) can be access directly from Shodhganga portal or CRSU PhD (full text) module available at Library portal.

        Q.7 What is Shodhganga portal?

Answer: Shodhganga stands for the reservoir of Indian intellectual output stored in a repository hosted and maintained by the INFLIBNET Centre.Shodhganga provides a platform for research scholars to deposit their Ph.D. theses and make it available to the entire scholarly community in open access. The repository has the ability to capture, index, store, disseminate and preserve ETDs (Electronic Theses and Dissertations) submitted by the researchers.

        Q.8  How can I use Digital Repository and which types of learning resources are accessible?

Digital Repository can be used by visiting Central Library Digital portal and digital repository has rich collection of previous years University Teaching Departments question papers, library membership form, requisition form for procurement of books and journals and which can be download round the clock 24*7.

        Q.9 Can I get check plagiarism level of my research articles / assignment / dissertation /thesis in the Central Library?

Answer: Yes, only students, research scholars and faculty/staff members of University Teaching Departments,CRSU, Jind may check his/her research articles/assignment/dissertation/thesis by sending email to central library at library@crsu.ac.in or may visit central library to check plagiarism report.Presently, Central Library has DrillBit Plagiarism Detection Software as received freely from INFLIBNET (Autonomous Inter-University Centre of University Grants Commission) Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India).

        Q. 10 Can users access Open Educational Resources through Central Library Digital Portal?

Answer: Yes, Central Library has provided important links for access of open educational resources through E-Resources on Public Domain module available at Central Library Digital Portal or can be access directly http://112.133.194.135/cgi-bin/koha/opac-crsu.pl?op=eropd

        Q. 11 Can I get press news clippings of CRSU, Jind?

Answer: Yes, press news clippings of CRSU, Jind is available at Central Library Digital Portal by clicking at any news blink on the portal.

        Q.12 How I can see the overdue books in my name?

Click the Login in to your account tab available at right side of the OPAC and enter your Library User Id and Password to view your transaction.

        Q.13 Can I take my lunch into the CRSU Library?

You cannot take any eatables to Library. You can take your lunch pack to Canteen.

        Q.14 What happens if I lose a book?

If you have lost books which you have borrowed from the Library’s collections the loss must be reported as soon as possible to the staff at the Circulation Desk in the Central Library. You will have to pay cost as per norms of Central Library.
